“A country should have a heritage after hosting the Olympic Games,” says Lyle Makosky, executive director of the Coaching Association of Canada (CAC). “The CAC has therefore purchased the ORTO colour video master tapes to provide a lasting benefit to Canada’s national sport governing bodies.”

Purchase of the tapes was made possible through a grant provided by the Canadian Olympic Association.

Makosky points out that national sport governing bodies can utilize the ORTO tapes for education and further training of Canadian coaches and athletes at such forums as clinics, symposia, and seminars and in coaching certification programs.

“We expect that NSGBs will also expand on the existing ORTO material,” says Makosky. “So the CAC has developed a 3/4″ video tape editing system which will greatly assist this procedure.”
